Why are members now seeing ads between posts

No, there are additional "keyword" mouseover ads that members don't see.
I can't comment on your second question as doing so would be a violation of Google's terms and conditions. I'm not permitted to suggest, recommend or ask you to click on any ads.
My recommendation is to become a Gold Member and you won't see any of those ads and you'll be helping the site as much or more.

There is no change in policy or practice. I removed to the interpost ads for a few weeks to gauge the financial impact and it was severe, down nearly 50%, so I put them back. but reduced their number too two, one after the first and 3rd replies. I removed the ad slot at the bottom of the thread.
