If add Supercharger - transmission ratios too close?
So, whether you do a FI w/ a turbo or an SC, with the addition of 100 or more flywheel HP, would not the present close ratio gearbox be TOO close? If so, what can be done about it?
Before grinning too much about peak hp number, take a moment to observe the dyno curve of S/C. There is no doubt about the power/torque increase but don't expect a lot.
SpeedCraft Turbo is markedly better than Comptech Supercharger but, you probably need 500+ hp before you grow out of the current gear ratio.

Heh heh, didn't know there was a such thing as too close considering the tranny goes up to 169!!!
When I had the head gasket installed I floored it in first (for that one night that I actually had it with the gasket installed) and I was merging from the far right to the in to the left lane and I swear it felt like the car was drifting the whole way across the highway..

Realisitically, 3 weeks.. I expect we will have the pistons around the middle of next week..
A week to assemble it (if they go slow) allows time to wait for the cams, put in the new differential, flywheel, clutch, and various other new parts...
