Default 04 top on 01 car

Just got off the phone with Eddy @ Rick Case - They want quite a lot to put an 04 top that is already assembled (frame/motors/cloth are all together in one piece) onto my car - I didn't think it would cost that much or I would have just dealt with the plastic window and tears .. but I already spent $1100.00 on the top so I have to figure this out somehow..

Do you guys know of any alternatives besides Honda that are capable of putting the top on?

Anybody have a service manual I can borrow or 'rent' for a weekend to try this myself???

Let me know =/

I want to put this on so bad.. it's basically brand new off an 04 with 2k miles =(

I hate taking my car apart, and being the one responsible for it but it seems to me I have no choice this time around unless I want to spend another grand.. which I'd rather put towards other expenses atm.

I'm on a search for a service manual - I seen quite a few on eBay in CD format but I think I might just buy it brand new from Helm Inc

I got an easy resolution... have your top slashed as if having your seats stolen, claim it under your insurance and have them pay for it. All you get stuck paying is our $500 deductible. That's of course assuming it's only $500!

Yes, I'm having a bit of trouble, but it should be all worked out soon enough. In any event, when I do get the check from the insurance company (they won't release a check until they get a police report which can take a min. of two weeks), I'll be looking to do the same thing, upgrading the top, front and rear lights, and front bumper to 04/05. So if you find some sort of resolution on putting on the top, let me know. I need to do the frame and top as well. I know some guy that can do it...I'm just not sure of the price. I'll talk to him and find out.
