that was close, why did he spin?
A car had run off course moments before we arrived and dragged dirt onto the racing surface. The NSX driver went in deep and lifted in the middle of the turn - a big no-no in a mid-engine car! The driver of the rear-engine Porsche (even tougher to manage than the NSX) was able to go through just fine. You can't see it in the video, but the corner worker was waving a debris flag at the corner so I knew something was up. If I hadn't been going a lot slower for the turn than normal, the outcome would have been very diffferent. Remember that the corner worker is your best friend at times like that.
When I stopped our cars were so close that the corner worker called it in as contact. I wish that I had a piece of coal in my a$$, because it would have come out a diamond .
