But everytime I read about it time and time again... everyone does say SC is easier maintence(granted some maintence is needed on both)... plus Turbo requires more items being exchanged on the engine while SC is more of a bolt on kit... probably yes something need to be upgraded but for the most part sc is better overall in maintence??
the turbo requires a more actual parts to remove to install it. but meh it's all the same shit once ur doing that kinda work. bolting on a sc is not as simple as bolting on an intake. maintenance... the only maintenance you should have to do is make sure ur engine is in good health. check ur oil make sure there are no leaks. check belts on the sc. they BOTH require some involvement. ur stressing the motor and adding parts to a vehicle... you have to be ready for any possible mishap... shit happens. a big part is the initial install too. when i had my civic i used to drive it, come home park it and not check anything and i wouldn't have much to worry about. everything i put on i did right (as best i could). i didn't have any oil leaks (well one but i was lazy to fix it). all the pipes were on good, etc.

Agree, 4K to start is not cheap but i always had the sensation that turbos even though are around the same price (of course much more power=more $$ in the end), they end up costing much more since you need to work with other extras such internals/fuel management etc etc, a comptech supercharger can be found @ around 3.900 but yeah expect $5K installed (with all the necessary hardware) and tuned etc etc ... oh boy .. i whish i had the money .. but if i had the optino i'd install a SC thoug.
Oscar
you don't have to work internals to go turbo. it's still compressed air being pumped into the motor. one is just exhaust driven, the other belt driven. fuel management would be required for both. i wouldn't trust the fuel management that came with a SC cause i just don't trust fmu's... it works for some people but then again a lot of those people have never compared driveability and power to a true tunable standalone. and to set the record straight you could run the same crappy fmu that SC kits come with on a turbo setup. hell it comes with drag turbo kits as well. i just wouldn't risk it.

one more, just make it pretty Agi, boosting is definitely more maintenance than a N/A car.

IT'S FAST ENOUGH FOR WHAT YOU USE IT FOR!

Not to mention its NA (All motor for those that dont know)
Lets keep in mind that our cars (FOR THE ONES THAT ACTUALLY OWN ONE) was not made to go in a straight line.

If you want to race in a straight line, go get yourself an EG hatch and through a K20 in it and BOOST the shit out of it. Or even go out and get yourself a muscle car with a 357, a 457, 420, w/e most popular number block they have for them(Personaly i dont know to much about Domestics but w/e).. ..and use that to drag race.
Tell me What car is to go in a STRAIGHT LINE??? that I know Every car is good for w/e the F*** you want
