Moving 2 Miami
whats up y'all....i just took a job at my company's headquarters as a business analyst. it has not been confirmed that i will move to miami just yet, (i may end up in washington =(. but if i do i will need some peeps to show me the town as i have not lived there since i was a kid. so lmk what the local story is... -J.
Local story: Sex,drugs, politics, partys and refs pretty much sums it up. Just stay out of Hialeah and you will be just fine
Yea Miami has changed alot since back then in many ways. But like i always say
"In Miami its all about image"

South Beach - party, sex, drugs, alcohol, hot chicks, lots and lots of hot chicks, all the ingredients for a good time
Downtown - construction everywhere, new condos are popping up almost monthly, good riddens to Overtown
Gables/Grove - not much has changed, still a very nice area for the most part, Merrick Park is new and a welcome addition
Kendall - I remember when Kendall was just Dadeland Mall to 107th Ave, now it goes on to like 167th plus
South Miami - same shit, different day
Doral - nicknamed Doralzuela, middle high to high class area, nice and quiet for now
Hialeah - like VeilsideAP1 said, stay away from Hialeah and you should be fine
Miami has changed in many ways, in some it hasn't. Miami is attractive and modern. Cubans still rule the city and most people still drive crazy.

oh yeah dont forget to pick up a box of reys pizza with espaghettie con cheso. or polo norte but reys is still the best, and by far go to the miami ones because like those guys said...stay out of hialeah!!!
Wow that blurb above hit it right on. I literally just spent the week here trying to find an apartment and it took me all 5 days to find out all of this. Fortunately I found a place on the beach to my tastes.
all i have to say is owning an s2000... watch out for theives. get a good alarm and be suspicious of "honda people" knowing where u park it, hang out, or live. i found out a couple weeks ago about some guy "watching" my civic and i've had my old civic broken into right infront of my house. not to mention my friend works at honda and tells me about all the S2K's he sees coming in with chopped up tops and no seats.
otherwise you'll enjoy yourself

I was planning on running this by you guys but what do you think about letting the car sleep with a car cover. I was thinking this would deter a few, and may prevent many from noticing the car has a soft top and projectors. I guess anybody who knows enough about the car to rip out the hids or seats would probably be the type to follow me home as opposed to a casual passerby thief.

I haven't heard of our HIDs being stolen, at least not yet anyways.
Car cover might be an OK compromise unless the thieving ricers are stalking you and already knows its an S2000. Nevertheless, your best bet is a garage.
