Default No sound from stereo!?

Hi everyone looking to help a friend.

Left the car in storage for a few month while he was away - thought no biggie we'll jump it when he's back in town.

Being the car genius he is, he flips the polarity of jump wires and trips the ignition fuse (100A) --> replaced and jumped, car seems fine.

Trickle charged the car battery back and everything seems to be ok... except no sound from speakers?

There's aftermarket stereo so no radio code, but changing the volume doesn't do anything - the faceplate turns on, you can change tuner/CD, even attachiPOD, yet no sound comes out!?

I checked these for him:
Acc Fuse (search on S2ki seems most common for this problem) - both the 10A (fuse 5) and 7.5A fuse 9 seems to be ok.

Under the driver dash I pulled every fuse out and double checked - doesn't seem to be any of those.

Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

This is gonna sound like a smart ass question, and I don't mean it to be, but is the 'mute' button pressed?

Nope I did check that, thanks

Even if Mute was pressed the stereo (Pioneer) he had in there bypasses it normally if you start turning the volume. I believe mine does too with Alpine.

check the amp fuses possibly one up by the battery, and another on the amp itself, or no fuse and reverse polarity, the amp may be toasted

is there a amp in the car? If so check power wire from battery, there should be a inline fuse holder, check fuse, or on some model amps there are fuses on side of amp.

If none of the above works, buy a new amp.... Better yet, buy your friend a 2009 CR and surprise him
