Question about AEM CAI
I found this on temple of vtec, it comes from a guy that put the AEM V2 on, what exactly does he mean here?
I want to see if I can do this too. Is it worth it?
"Since the installation requires messing with the throttle body coolant line, I decided to use the old throttle body coolant bypass trick to keep the intake temps down a bit during the hot summer months. It seems to have helped lower the IATs by at least 20-30F, but during colder weather I'll have to keep an eye on it."

Though I'm no expert... I'll decode what I can...
He's saying that after putting on the CAI that the IAT ( Intake Air Temp ) has dropped 20-30F .. which would prove for a sizeable prevention in HP Loss .. He seems to have achieved this by routing coolant on it.
He's also saying that when winter comes around.. he'll have to make sure that it doesn't interfere w/ either the coolant system or the intake.
Again.. i'm no expert.. but I figured I'd give it a shot!

It has nothing to do with that line.
I decided to use the old throttle body coolant bypass trick The only way to do this is to cap off the line going and coming from the TB.

No way will it affect the temps that much. I have my TB and intake manifold bypassed using the hondata gasket and I capped the line at the ther. housing.
The breather hose is the only line that is affected.
