There's plenty to do in Tampa and in Miami. There's Ybor city in Tampa which hosts rows of bars and clubs. From Tampa you can also drive to any of the vacation parks (Disney, Universal, Seaworld, Busch Gardens). Also, St. Pete is right next door, and you can go by the beaches on the west coast. You can get some pretty good deals on hotels and rental cars, just check out some websites (travelocity, orbitz, hotwire, etc.) In Miami, check to see who has cheaper rates MIA or FLL. Get a car, and visit SoBe and the Grove. If you want to head down to the keys, stop at Key Largo, and there's Pennycamp park which has beaches and snorkelling. You can also go out on a boat. Just 20 miles south is Isla Morada, the location of the famous Tiki Bar which also hosts a beach with jet ski rentals. If you're into surfing, you might be able to catch a couple classes of kite surfing. This is amazing, but a bit costly (class start at $250+). But after two days, you should be able to start surfing on your own. It's a blast. If you venture all the way down to Key West, there's a lot of bars and small sight seeing things for tourists to do. Stop by your local AAA office and pick up a Florida Guidebook. If you're a member, they're free. If not, give me a call and I can give you one. You'll have tons of fun down here.
