If I get oil on the filter, which happens. Tighten it up a much as possible, hit it with some brake clean, wipe it down and let it dry and tighten to spec, you can usually get most of the turns with some oil, never a problem.
If I was near you, I would just come by with my oil pan, brake clean and some gloves and get it done in 10 minutes.

Would I drive the car? no but he's in a jam as he doesn't have the tools/items to do the job himself.

All you need to do is loosen the filter until it starts to drain and then wait for it to stop then tighten it up. The filter won't be covered in oil. If you use oem filters, but a honda oem filter tool and have a 17mm wrench you don't even have to touch the filter if it gets covered in oil.

Customer decided to add and extra quart for the dragon, didnt check it first.
Upon measuring there was 6.75 quarts in the engine. top of piston and valves soaked with engine oil.
