Murdered Out Badges
#11
i am looking to change my badging aswell.. does the product last a long time? s2000 badging in matte black is 46$ for the pair online. clearly i would paint them then spend the money but i don't want to be painting them every couple of weeks..

I will give it a good wash this weekend and scrape the badges with the rough wheel mitt i use and report back. After scrapping it lightly today they won't peel but only time will tell.
I have seen a few s2k's with the "s2000" badge crooked or not lined up with the signal light so to avoid that i gave this method a shot.

hey guys, i really want to do this, but how do you do the masking especially within the badge? How did you get it so precise? JP
edit: is that not tape within the H badges? is that the plastic dip that you just peeled up?

no its not tape. you just spray it onto the badges/paint then peel it off. The plasti dip ends up tearing away anywhere there is a corner or crease so it ends up sticking to just the badges. i masked out a square around the badges and then just sprayed and peeled.
