need advice
i'm living in pennsylvania in the us right now and i'm thinking of moving to canada because this country is so messed up. someone give me a couple of websites to research the gov. and way of living please thanks
because i'm tired of being lied to and wasting money on a war that is doing us no good but making our president rich. even the ones that say they want good things are only saying them no one actually follows through. our health care system is crap and this tax relief thing is a joke. they are giving single people i think 600 dollars back in taxes for relief this year but what they don't tell you is that next year we have to pay all of it back. unless you are of a low income family then you can keep yours. so on top of me paying more in taxes so the lazy people can get free stuff i have to pay my little bit of money that i got for free back while they get to keep theirs. it's bs and i'm sick of it.
i just watched Sicko last night, the latest Michael Moore documentary.... it really disturbed me, and i can't understand why americans aren't complaining more to their government over not having universal health care. of course, he paints a lop-sided picture, but it is pretty scary to think that your 18 month old child can die because you go to the wrong hospital in search of help. i don't think i could move out of canada.
i think your best bet to get into canada is to find some lonely heart and get married so you can move up here.

well i'm 23 and i'm already getting married here. wanting to raise my family up there and hopefully stay. but i don't want to do to your country what the mexicans are doing to ours. they have more rights in my country then i do and then cry racism when anyone does anything about it. our health care is just a tip of the whole thing. it doesn't matter what you know in this country it's who you know but i think that's everywhere.i want to find a legal way to move up there as long as i can make enough money to survive as a mechanic and raise probably 2 kids and just work and retire then die. i right now don't have health care and that movie sicko hits it right on the head about turning people away, UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY. then you get whatever you need for a cheaper cost then someone that has money just not as much as you.

Tax relief here is instead of give you back $600 they relieve you of an additional $600. Tax relief Canadian style.
Seriously, Immigrating to Canada is little different than immigrating to the US from somewhere else, it doesn't take as long perhaps but it's not just as simple as loading the family into the car and driving North.
you can call 1-800-o-canada (no shit, that's the real number) and ask for info. The government site is http://www.gc.ca the immigration site is http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp
Your best bet is a work VISA, NAFTA temporary TN-type VISA for skilled professionals. It gets you in for a year temporarily but like a student type VISA doesn't let you stay longer.
To know more we would need to know your citizenship, educational background and your employment info.
It's important to understand a thing or two before you go rushing off. Canada is indeed a great country (IMHO) but it's not a land of milk and honey, not even gold and oil. There is crime here. Poor people are still poor. Nothing is free. We pay for health care, it's just not optional. We've got potholes the size of volkswagons in Toronto and the city is broke yet what really pisses people off is that the cost of renting a public pool for a kid's birthday party is going up from $93 to $120. Priorities are just as messed up, just in a different way.
So you see you will trade one set of circumstances for another but there are a lot of Americans that live here for much the same reasons you give and a few others. If you are serious then see what sort of temporary situation you can work out. The change of culture and attitude will be good for you and you may just realize that you are more American than you think in the end.
