Need help - shipping problems
Guys,
Canada Post is trying to charge me $75 for my item shipped from the US, even though it is clearly marked - Factory Warranty Replacement - Core Cross Shipped.
What should I do?
Thanks.

Call canada post. Go to www.canadapost.ca and get the #.
I had the same hassle with some other equipment. I spoke with some kind of manager/supervisor (I think he referred to himself as "Team Leader") and they released my shipment.
Good luck.

rob, i just got off the phone with the customs broker....
my brake kit is at customs right now - they won't release it without a commercial invoice....
i've left sherwin a message to fax me one asap.
i told him that he can leave the price of $1,200 on there, but to ALSO put on the invoice "NO CHARGE TO CUSTOMER".
the 1,200 is for insurance purposes (a moot point now that it has safely arrived in toronto, but nonetheless...) and the "no charge to customer' line implies that it is not a "commerical purchase/sale of goods" as no money/compensation has changed hands....
hopefully this will suffice. see if something like this works for your situation.

Since it isn't that much, I'll probably bite the bullet and save these tricks for the more expensive stuff like the exhaust, brakes, etc.
Customs said they will refund me the money if I provide an invoice from the company that it was a warranty claim, but I got it through a private buyer.
