I checked my dashcam and I see 2 people but it's too dark to get any features. Based on the time stamps they were outside for about an hour!
Which dashcam do you use? I assume it motion detects? Does it connect to your car battery, and if so, how long does it take before it drains it?
It's an A118. I actually have it set only to record when the key is in accessory position or the car is on so they triggered it through that. I'm planning on buying a separate battery so I can enable the motion detection while parked without killing the car battery.Car will be parked inside from now on. Anyone running an aftermarket alarm, and are those old school steering wheel locks useful?

My mechanic looked at the car and nothing was wrong, I guess I learned my lesson about leaving the car outside

That's good. Probably a couple of amateurs in over their heads.

Car alarms are a good deterrent but a garage door works better

I thought about getting a tracking system like Lo Jack or there's a new one that just came out.. can't recall

That being said, I will need to sign up for some sort of performance driving school to get any real seat time without endangering someone in
After my incident last year, I was considering taking the ILR auto-x course again...but I ended up going for a lapping day at Grand Bend instead, LOL. FWIW, I found the course really helpful at learning my car. Thing is, it's held only once a year in April or something like that.
Yeah I know - as soon as I picked up the S2k, I went online and found I just missed it by a week.

ARGH.

I just picked up my S2k and was also considering doing the auto-x course. Is it really only once a year? Lets sign up YEESH!

The Ian Law autoslalom course is indeed only once a year. I considered going waaaay back when I had my MR2 but then dropped the idea.

Yes, it's only once a year so that kinda sucks. I'm thinking of going to the track school day in October and then lock the car up for the winter and then sign up for the slalom course next year.

Congrats on the S2k!

Instead of going to PITL on Aug 8, you should come out the ILR course with Brownasaurous! I'll be their for their lapping day!

I'm seriously considering it but I think I might be triple booked for that day! Need to clear some stuff by the end of this week.

Will advise on the board if I make it.

What kind of prep work do I need to do? I know I still have plenty of front pad left, rotors are good, brake fluids are brand new (from May).

Fuel pump install tonight. Based on what I've read, it should be pretty easy.

For the most part it's easy to swap just a paint in the ass to get to.

You have to have the top about half way open and then pop out the undertray to access it. Make sure you don't touch the fuel level gauge and swap the oem sock to your new pump. If you're running a pump bigger than the walbro 255, run more power to the pump.

Thanks for the heads up, didn't think about the level gauge. Its a 255 so no electrical work
