Hey Vince, you need to take a photo of the sole!
They don't look flat from the pics you posted.
Are they flat or do they have some kind of arch support thing?
For myself I prefer the high ankle style, I like the support.
Me like these...

I almost bought a pair of Sparcos last time I was in the US...did not have my shoe size ...next time.
I agree with Doug though....I would want a flatter sole...unless of course your using them as running shoes ....

Today I bought my first pairs of Piloti driving shoes.
I got myself these.

Geez, the Le Mans guys wear these shoes..who am I to judge?
They are flat, there is a very slight arch, but having tried them out already I can attest they are very different from regular shoes. You can feel everything, yet are comfortable to stand around in.
I don't think I'd use them every day for a lot of walking but they are perfect for the track or autox.
They are nearly as flat as the sparcos or alpinestars.
Tried them last night too, felt nearly the same to wear, until you walk around for 10 mins..then its not pretty heh.
Oh yeah they are Nomex too so I'll light my feet on fire later and see how it goes

Too bad all the good shit happens when I'm not there!
I can't wait to see them! I do really like how the sole comes up on the right side of the shoe because that is where my driving shoes are all black from rubbing on the black rubber of the gas pedal.
