i know Marco and Oscar probably have some insight... talk to me!!
how much better is it over the current phone we are using now?
what are the pros and cons on putting one in?
and last but no least... what is the price tag on that?

Short answer? Voice quality sucks, delays are present.
You might save money on long distance if you do a lot, you can get a phone number from a different city and locals of that city can call you.
Pointless at the moment, realistically it saves the head end (phone company money).

My brother has it and it blows he calls me and there is always lag from Winnipeg it's annoying. It's better now that he switched from Shaw to MTS though.
You guys might be lucky in Toronto but here it's the same cost as a land line, which is stupid. IE, if I want IP phone I have to pay for my bell land line $24.95 + my high speed internet + $19.95 a month for IP phone.
If they could remove the $24.95 charge I would get the IP phone but Bell is stupid and won't do that
