I took a spin out to Collingwood on the weekend. It was blast and VTEC on the way there and back. Only problem was stone chips. Dame Trucks. An as..holes who go of to shoulder and blast you with sand and stone mix.

Please comment, I am thinking of putting 3M stone guard on the hood. What are the best ways to fix the stone chips ?

On my way home I passed S2000 black going south on Highway 10 towards Orangevillle on Sunday . between 11:00 and 12:00. I was going North.

Matrix how is the twin behaving, any problems.

 

Brat is behaving as the name suggests and it puts a huge smile on my face all the time.

Regarding the stone chip, there is a colour pen that may help. Try a search on it...it is called the autopen I think.

I put StoneGaurd on my S2000 to help save the front.

VJAY: Check out autocosmetic.com.. they can repair the chip, professionally.. you're probably looking at about $150 though, which is cheap consdering, but more than a $15 paint pen, so it's best to wait till you have a few since one or 50 in a small area requires essentially the same amount of prep work and paint. I would only go a touchup route if the goal is to eliminate potential rust.. but then again, the bumper is plastic and the hood is aluminium (and therefore doesn't rust right?). Soo, if it's looks you're concerned about get it properly blown (blended) by a reputible shop. They worked on my S2K (much bigger ordeal, but did involve the removal of stone chips) and it looked brand new afterwards. Of course, then get some stone guard put on.

 

Will be putting chip guard Next Friday in Barrie. Apparently this guys have a computer design for S2000 and will cut and install 3M chip guard film. I work at 3M , and friends in the automotive aftermarket recommended this guys.

I will be in Barrie on the afternoon of Friday May 24. Would like meet some of the boys around the Toronto area. Will

Ok THAT road

There is a place called Dooley's which is a Pool joint that I think serves beer and whatnot, there is a Montanas which is a crappy restaurant, there is a Shoeless Joe's which is likely the least offensive.

Its also in very close proximity to the highway, molson park drive etc.
