For you mechanics out there,

People keep telling me not to shut the car off right even right after I drov the car only for 45 mins city limits. Sitting in the car and waiting for it to cool is a waste of my time, so would a turbo timer (for my non-turbo) car a good idea?

Thanks

Arthur

No. Those people are smoking crack. Shut it off when you pull in and forget about it.

I would say, letting the car idle in your driveway is harder on it than driving it. I agree with Rob, shut the thing off and get on the computer.

your car's cooling system works better while the car is in motion, so after some spirited driving / vtec-ing, just coast for about 5 to 10 min. before reaching your destination (e.g. just getting off the highway and going thru the small streets to get to your destination) and that should be sufficient enough in cooling your car down enough to have it shut off w/o idling.
