ive done research for a year before i decided to buy an s2000. The year i Bought was an 02 ap1 it seem like the right one for me it had the most year to yeah changes for me and im a drive so the whole snappy thing never scared me away. i check the car meticulously before purchasing i drove the car 3 times at the dealer i got it from my only real concern was a 1 second rattle upon start up. so i figure TCT no big deal i swap it soon 2 days after owning the car i spun a bearing. it had the right amount of oil and everything so i would love to know what caused this im getting a new motor[media]http://[/media] guys dont worry and hopefully i can make it to the meet next month. and the car has 160xxx miles on it

That is a very positive attitude considering the circumstances. Did you ask your dealer to help with the costs? The kind of dealer with a 2002 AP1 with 160,000 miles on it is normally the kind that gives you some kind of 30 day warranty at least.

I'm guessing the rattle sound at start up was bearing noise and not the TCT good luck with the car and a great shop to talk to is LHT in Largo. John can help you get the car right

yes they are gonna help with cost thank god because it would suck if this was all on me. and yes trying to stay positiove i bout if for my birthday which is the 24 it might be in a shop then lol

I Still believe it needs a TCT im actually a mechanic and i have a keen sense of hearing i had no idea that this would happen so soon. thanks for the shop recommendation looking foward to meeting you guys soon.
