Man...I have not heard Alex's name in a looooong time. WOW

at this point either FI route is safe and dependable with the "bolt on" style of kits for either that are out there now.

IMHO SC seem like they have less variables...just watch that belt, right Jeff??

Turbos, I feel, create power more efficiently and are not parasitic power generators. A SC will take power to make power.

I dont know enough about either to make a serious reccomendation.

FI is just a beautiful thing, no matter which way you look at it....

True Rob but S/Cs don't take much power and generally come on faster. Roots S/Cs are the best.

I do like turbos better but the heat generated has to be dealt with and tuning can be less than perfect. The Kraftwerks S/C is a plug and play, and once again, drives like a stock S2000 but with more power.

I just got off the dyno and I'm exhausted. My car is back together and running, for now. Made 390/250 @ ~ 15psi. The tune was a quick and dirty just to get it safe to drive around, if I had to guess somewhere around 45% complete. I don't like the dyno I was on nor the operators that run it. Everyone thinks they're a tuner and knows how to do this or that better than the next man If it wasn't for a shame, I'd say screw it and just put the car on the dyno myself and tune it myself so I'd have no one to blame but myself. Regardless, I plan to get a real tune from the man himself hopefully in Jan once I work out some other gremlins that have conveniently reared their ugly heads.

Its a never ending battle to get things right, but that's why they call it a hobby. FI is a slippery slope and it is truly addicting once you get a real taste of how it could feel if you did this or that. I say stay away from it completely unless you truly know what you're getting yourself into.

PS - hitting boost cut @ 130mph sucks. But, like Jesus, it saves.

Perfect example of the difference between a turbo and a S/C. Trouble with tuners. Everyone says they are an expert but no quite so.

All the Kraftwerts we have done have been tuned perfect. You send it in and they send it back two days later perfect.

My S is a hobby with no stress other than trying to get projects done with no schedule available! (I hate my job sometimes!) I have 23 to 600+ reasons why Rotrex is the way to go but in talking with Paul about his turbo setup, this would have been a strong possibility. Heat management and a properly designed manifold/induction system with a properly sized turbine, I am pretty sure that it will hold together and be smooth - future Greddy killer w/bov.

So where is the best/cheapest place to purchase the kraftwerks kit?

I'd like to do it one day.

I definitely need to see one in person and go for a ride to see if its worth the cost(which I'm sure it is lol)

http://www.kraftwerksusa.com

Should/when that day comes, let me know. The installation documentation is outdated and has been revised by owners. Most at no additional cost but some will cost a couple of bucks...
