Bittersweet day. Went in to work, called the Honda dealership, scheduled an appointment to have my reel cable fixed under warranty (causes your SRS light, horn, and crusie control not to work - and no, I didn't snip the wrong wire when I did the top down while driving mod).

Anyway, left work 4 hours early (nice to be the boss), and hit the Dragon on the way to the Alcoa Honda Dealer. No cops on the dragon, and very little traffic. Awesome run, even though my new tires didn't grip as well as my old bald ones. They were very predicatble though.

Afterwards, Honda Dealer says they need to keep my S overnight to fix, and gave me a loaner Element for the evening. I reluctantly take it, stop by Taco Bell on the way home, and spit my Mountain Dew all over the console when the Drive-thru lady told me how much she liked my Element.

Thought y'all might enjoy that - Jamie.

Well, looks like I'll be away from the forum for a little while. I needed a little spontaneity so I'm taking nine days off from work and I'm leaving for the beach late tonight. I'll probably stay till Wednesday or so. It will be my first road trip in the S. I can't wait to figure out how I'm going to pack everything including a full set of golf clubs.

Just realized this exact week last year I was heading up to Cedar Point in Ohio. I love that place! I probably won't get to ride their new coaster this year. I guess Dollywood FTW...

Ah - even worse on GPW. Thanks for the autocross info connection. Jamie.
