That's impressive. Your car must dig its own hole in the ground everywhere it goes if you are dropped a foot! ;-P

Coil overs are set to a 1 inch drop. IMO anything lower in central Texas is just not drivable. I had them at 1.5 and it was a pain to get anywhere,

after driving around for 3+ years in a lowered civic, it's pretty nice to be able to commute and not worry about "obstacles"

Yeah I think I will do about 1 inch then. I don't DD my S but I really don't want to be worried about bottoming out everytime I take it out. Thanks for the input guys.

Oh one more thing. I had enough trouble getting under my car with a floor jack when it was stock height. I assume it will be really tricky now, do you guys know of a place that sells small ramps of some sort. Just something to drive on to get enough clearance to get a jack under the car. All the ones I've seen look a little to steep to use. Has anyone made their own?

I used a Harbor Freight coupon for an aluminum floor jack. I think it was $60, its low enough to get under my S, with a 1" drop. You won't get a lot of lift, maybe 12", but its enough for general maintainence. You could just drive up on a couple pieces of 1" plywood stacked up to get the extra space also. Probably cheaper too.

There are advantages to paying....such as not having to do the work. I paid money my first time around but the next time I did the swap myself...If you have the money to spend, I would say 30% says shop, 70% DIY...It honestly just isn't that difficult..Even the rear-driver side wasn't bad by disconnecting the fuel line..heindsight, I am bummed I paid someone the first time around.
