Default Warranty Question

I want to take my car to the dealer to get the window fixed on the driver bc it wont roll all the way down when putting the top down and when the auto window button is pushed. I installed Sony Explod speakers and want to know if they would void the warranty if they saw the new speakers.

its just speaker replacements. if you go to the right dealer (First Texas) and speak to the right individual, they will know what causes certain pieces of the car to malfunction if they are modified. But a speaker... nah... a speaker is just a speaker. They will not harass you nor deny you the window fix for that.

Actually Randy, they have been known to.

To put the speakers in, you have to disconnect the window wiring harness, and they have been known to use that as an excuse not to fix it.

BlueHS, I've got some pretty extensive stereo work in my car, and they have never said the first word about it. I've had that window relay replaced twice, at two different dealers, and it wqas no problem. Good luck!

open stereo flap. grab near the hinge of the stereo flap and pull... it will pull out bottom first and then the top. make sure you are in 4th gear, or otherwise remove the shift knob when you do this.

remove the four bolts that hold in the stereo. unplug the rear connector and the antennae.
