Thanks everybody for the input - makes me feel better that I haven't torn it up (too much), and I've learned alot from the posts.

If the clutch is truly a global issue, does anyone know if there's a good sports- or racing-clutch out there to replace this one that's worth the dough? I wouldn't really consider it now (with only 5K on the car), but if it comes to some major clutch work in the future (as per Dale's experiences) I would consider it then.

Do a search for ACT pressure plate, it's a very stiff pressure plate. That's the one im using with an '04 clutch disk. If you drive in a lot of traffic, I would not recommend the pressure plate, it definately wears you out. You also have to rev match with that pressure plate.

Oh yea!! Best way to launch is get it to 7000 rpms and then drop the clutch and you fly out there! BUT .... just incase my hubby is reading this ...I HAVEN'T DONE IT FOR A LONG TIME ! He say that if I screw up the rear differential I a have to pay for it.
