Was showing off & not paying attention to the tach.
I rev'd past 9k in 2nd gear & the engine kinda went dead.
I quickly shifted into 3rd & it seemed ok
Did I do any damage?
The car runs normal now

naw, ive done that a few times


ive actually accidently shifted from 3rd back into 2nd somehow, when i should have been going to 4th.......just immediatly pushed the clutch back in...and it was fine.....
ehehe

 

That's not an overrev - that's just the rev limiter kicking in.

Overrevving is when you think you're downshifting from 6th to 4th but accidentally hit 2nd or something similar. I did that the first time I downshifted on the highway, but fortunately put the clutch back in before the engine hit redline.
