Default A/C Compressor question

My compressor recently went out. Can I use a compressor from 00-03 (2.0L) or does it have to be from 04+ (2.2L)? I appreciate the help guys. Also, anyone have any reccomendations on what to get? I foudn a rebuilt piece on ebay with a lifetime warranty, but Im not sure if I should just go to a junkyard aroudn town and pick one up. thanks

If you're going to put it in yourself don't forget the PAG oil or you'll blow your new one very fast.

Just go find a member with an AP1 and compare plugs and the tag that says HFC134a blah blah blah / pressure.

I had a compressor out of an 01 put into my 06 and it has worked fine for over a year now. Got it for $125, $75 is a good deal.

Sorry for I just read this thread... I have an extra one if you end up needing one. I can also put it in for you, you just need to get the oil for it.

It's possible but only in the cooler months. I went for a few months without AC when my condenser took a rock.
