A/C problems on Accord
Anyone know about A/C systems? The A/C compressor on my Accord cycles on and off and then after a couple minutes, it kills the engine. Anyone seen this before?
Thanks,
Jeff

It may be that the compressor is providing enough restriction to stop the engine. Are you hearing noises that are coming from the AC compressor belts?
That could mean one of several things. Either the bearings are shot or the A/C compressor clutch is locking up. Your best bet, after you verify it's the compressor, is to purchase a remanufactured one to save a little money. I had a similar problem with the alternator on my 81 RX-7.
Good luck.

I took it in to a friend and he thinks its the idle control. My radiator decided to start leaking and my radiator and condenser fans decided to stop working today. I nearly overheated the engine on the way to the shop. The Accord has seen better days.
