This weekend I installed the 4IGS CAI. The car definetly feels more powerful and throttle response has improved, but is it supposed to make a whining noise at the K&N filter similar to the air pump when the car is at idle? Also does anybody have a picture of the installed kit to see if there is a better way of routing the vacuum lines.

yes, it has a whining noise, and that's normal. its more of a sucking air through a metal tube type of sound.

 

QT_S2K and I both have the 4ig intake and yes it's suppose to make that noise, as for the vacuum lines and your concern. If you don't see a CEL then your in good shape. Now if your question is where the lines were mounted from dangling, than the Intake with zip ties will work. If you want come to Thursday or Saturday G2G and take a look feel free.
