Why do you like the Kraftwerks SC kit ? how much HP do people get out of it and How much boost can you get out of I am trying to get like 400HP and i think with a vortech SC it will be around 16lbs of boost

400hp would be alot easier on turbo. a reliable gt30R would be able to do the work.

to run 16 pounds you need to start looking at a built motor with a supercharger. I dont care what anyone says.

Would be alot easier on the wallet just to turbo it . 400 can be done as ben said with a 30r cheaper. Unless you wanna build the motor then hell go with the vortech.
Vortech on a built motor will be less maintence

Also I dont like kraftwerk for the simple reason I havent heard wonderful things about it.

Is the 400hp projection based off of crank hp or wheel hp?

Either way, 400whp by way of supercharging is a difficult path. Not impossible but difficult. I suggest you do a lot more homework on this. It will not be simply upgrading to a higher boost pulley. You would be looking at headers, exhaust, head work/ OS valves, and very very good tuning.

If you are dead set in making 400whp, may I suggest turbo charging instead? It would be much easier to accomplish your goals on turbo then SC.

As for engine reliability and 400whp, it is possible and has been done before. It would rely on the tune to see how long that motor lasts. HOWEVER, being that you would be on pump gas and a street driven car, that adds LOTS of variables in the mix. Running 400hp on a stock block does not give you leeway for failure. Slight signs of detonation from either heat or sub-optimal octane gas maybe all that's needed for catastrophic failure. I would advise against running that much HP and a stock block for those reasons. Take your time to build the motor, that way you have insurance that it will survive what you're aiming for.

We've built race cars making tons of hp on stock block, but it's a race car using high octane gasoline or alcohol. This boosts the engines knock threshold and we tune the map on present racing conditions. This gives us a lot of control for that particular day, race, & gas. It's a whole different ball game then building a street car.

I highly recommend you swing by the forced induction section of the forums and do some reading. There are lots of information pertaining to what you are looking for beyond what SC to get.

Well Thanks for all the Advice Everybody....... As of now the Supercharger will be put on hold I agree with building the motor abd that will also give more room for more HP in the long run I had said 400WHP due to reading that the stock motor could handle it.......... But it might take a little longer but I will go with Building motor then work on supercharger........

is there any reason you're choosing to go S/C over turbo? the stock motor can hold 400 without having to open the motor up.

if you want to be different put a LS2 motor in it or a 2JZ. nobody ever does those.

Just buy a old block and send it off to get built its pretty cheap

rotary

less performance
questionable reliability
shitty gas mileage.
