How about Motorsports Ranch in early September?
Well, with John Eagle Honda probably not being able to get a second TWS track date this year, the people who missed the first but still wanted to go were SOL. However, there's been a few rumblings in the Austin forum about getting together an S2000 group on our own and heading out to some event. Specifically, the Drivers Edge event at Motorsports Ranch on September 7th and 8th (the weekend before our autocross.) These are the same guys who do the JEH events, I think. It'd be a lot closer to home for a lot of us, hopefully some cooler weather, and it's a really neat track. Plus, I think we'd get a 10% discount for going as a club with at least 10 participants. Pice is a bit steeper than JEH, since they subsidized it some - $260 for the weekend.
Any thoughts?

Motorsports Ranch is a GREAT facility. Best track I have driven. Excellent asphalt, challenging course and helpful runout areas.
If I am still here (i.e. if my stock portfolio still allows ), I will sign up.
Does the $265 cost include instructors?
Regards,
Al

Okay, so that's eight people (including me) at least tentatively saying they'd like to go.
In order to get the 10% discount, we need to send in the apps together. Read here for the procedure. I'd be willing to be the collection point for the applications. I'll hold them until we get 10. Or, if 10 don't sign up, I can cancel the checks. Those who would like to go anyway without the discount can just send in a new application on their own.
I don't know how quickly their spots fill up, but how about a checkpoint date of July 31st?
