Forgive MoJo and Jonnyboy...

They're young and think you can argue with scientific facts...

I did not ask for forgiveness
I will stick to what Cosmos and JonBoy says and GPW is the fastest

btw, that mathematical equation is gay! I can play with it and prove that GPW is the fastest...

Although black color is fast in only one thing...getting dirty..muahaha

We already know GPW is fastest
Now, we need to find out which of us is the quickest GPW

It doesn't matter, as long as GPW is the fastest.

This is about the car, not the driver. Driver's don't matter, remember?

is it your only car?
Not anymore, but it used to be.
If so, do you like it?
I loved it then, and still do.
How many miles do you drive a year?
As my only car, it was 10-12K a year, now it's < 5K a year.
What kind of gas mileage do you realistically get?
Depends on your driving style more than most other cars. I got 30-36 hwy in CO, and 25-30 city. In TX that dropped to 27-32 hwy and 23-26 city. If you keep it out of VTEC you get much better milage. (ie, at the track I stay in VTEC almost constantly, and in stock form got 8-12).
With the turbo setup now, I get 18-21hwy and 16-18 city.
How has the reliability been?
Great... until I turbo'd it (never had an issue in 50K miles which included dozens of track events and lots of spirited driving). After turbo, well everyone knows it's an ongoing battle

Only Car?
Yeppers, my daily driver since 2003. (Been known to borrow Elistan's truck from time to time, but the S has done its share of hauling plants and mulch from a local nursery )

If so, do you like it?
I love the car... It's more unique than others, a blast to drive, can cheer you up and really can handle any weather with good tires. I've even driven to/from work when it was still somewhat icy/snowy while everyone else stayed home. The 50/50 weight distribution really helps the handling in slick conditions.

How many miles do you drive a year?
I've put 72K miles on the car since Oct 2003 (over 20K the first couple of years commuting 90 miles round trip per day, and about 15K per year since I started commuting 14 miles round trip per day)

What kind of gas mileage do you realistically get?
Daily driving on highway I was getting about 24, now driving surface streets with several lights and a spirited, but not crazy, start from lights and stops gets me just under 23 consistently for the last 3 years.
Gotten up to 30/31 on highway trips, 12 at the track.

How has the reliability been?
Reliability has been great, only just now having to consider a bit of work on the rear. Diff seems fine, just need to regrease face of the hubs... getting a ticking starting from a stop and at acceleration. Timing chain tensioner appears a bit loose when the car is cold (small rattle on start-up) until the oil pressure builds up. Probably ~$100 for part and a good solid day in the driveway since I don't have every tool known to man (or woman for that matter) and I tend to take my time to get everything just right.

AP1 vs. AP2?
May be a tough decision for ya, but if I had if to do over, I would go with AP1 again, 2003 (which is what I've got). Drove Elistan's AP1 and AP2 and several AP1s, including my previous Silverstone 2000 AP1 back when. Like the 9000 red line of the AP1, prefer the 2003 suspension over the earlier suspension. Glass window nice.

Best of luck in the pursuit

Thanks to everyone for their responses so far!

Unfortunately, the day after I started this thread, I came home at lunch to find my roof leaking in the dining room. My insurance company is arguing with me over coverage, so flipping cars and all of the ancillary bits that come with a new street/track car (wheels, tires, shocks, etc.) may not be the wisest financial move for me right now, especially since the '8 still has a lot of warranty left.

C'est la vie...
