I'll be ready at whatever time you wish to come over. I actually intend on getting the car in the garage and starting to remove the panels on Friday night. I was able to "obtain" a service manual to assist us, althuogh its for the '03-'05 models.

How about 9am? Give us a few hours to get things started anyway. I also have a '00-'02 service manual for reference.

Huge thank you to Dave (Photodavo) and Lane (Turbolane) for coming out and helping me get started. Lane, I owe you a lunch. The system came out fantastic. I'm going to start a new thread that has the minor changes we observed in it.

I ended up paying a car stereo shop to fabricate the brackets. They made it out of MDF and they came out perfect, much much betetr than I could have ever made. I also had them run the power to the trunk. They ended up finding another firewall pass trhough just to the left of the one we spotted. Car is back to gether now, and still has a few minor issues, but the system sounds great.

Thank you both again, I don't think I would have done it if you hadn't gotten me started. I'm sure I'd have given up and dumped it at the stereo shop.

I'll have to stop by soon to check it out

PS: to the left meaning driver or passenger side?

It was looking pretty good last night when I finally got my car running again. Thanks again for the ride home Saturday, Tom, after I managed to pull up a small amount of water with my CAI backing out of the driveway.

All is good now though. Tom - did you get the gain for the sub sorted out?

It was still on the drivers side, but about 4 inches more to the drivers side.

No problem David. And yes, The gains are much better now. Still trying to balance it though. Those little rear speakers sound surprisingly good after being powered the by HU. As fill they are perfect, but even when I had them solo, they were tolerable.
