Default need some help?

ok im looking to replace my clutch because its starting to go out and i would like to get an aftermarket but i would like some feedback from you guys that have aftermarket clutches. I dont want to buy one for name just to find out in a couple of months that i have to replace it again. Any likes, dislikes, or comments would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Rachelle

Yeah... amazing how we don't answer questions in under 30 minutes...

I'm a fan of the Honda factory clutches myself... but YMMV...

Someone told me the best thing to do for a good upgrade with a stock motor was to get a factory friction disc and an Amuse pressure plate.

Crap... now I'm not sure if I'm remembering the brand correctly... well I'm sure someone will jump in.

I've also heard that a clutch replacement on an S2000 is a job worth paying someone ELSE to do. Apparently it is a REAL PITA.

Do a search for "pressure plate". I found a ton of relevant threads. I saw a lot of references to ACT, Spoon, and Mugen pressure plates used with the OEM Honda friction disc.

Lotsa folks have taken the opportunity to put in a lighter flywheel as well (Comptech).

I have the Comptech flywheel, SPEC pressure plate and OEM friction disk. I'm sure the hardtopguy offering would be just as good.

A lot of people like the OEM disc & just about any aftermarket PP, but... I would suggest just getting a "stage 1" or "street" kit from just about any performance clutch supplier. You will end up with about the same effect and usually for a little less money than anything that includes an OEM piece.
