I just read up on this a bit, many people are having this problem and they said turning off the Internet works for about 95% of the time.

If nothings happened yet then chances are your ps3 probably won't brick. Just be aware that theres a possibility due to the glitch.

360 > PS3.. Microsoft would never send out a system that would break

Haha but yeah, man that sucks. Hopefully you can get it working before MGS4 comes out. I'm buying the PS3 just for that.

LOL are u kidding me man? I went through 3 360's before I finally sold mine lol the red rings of death.
