Short story for me. Had a vette years ago, and it couldn't get out of its own way. Thought of a new vette, but didn't feel right in it. Have a Honda Goldwing, and had a sport bike. Sold the sport bike, and wanted 4 wheel road spanker. Love Honda, and REALLY love the S2000.
And, by the way TX_Phantom, am almost 55, so could have the RED one!!!

S2k is fun to drive, but it's lack in power. I guess since i've owned 3 turboed integras before this.
The S2k holds up well to turbo (up to around 300WHP), much better than other Hondas, with proper tuning. The F20C bottom end is solid. Don't bother unless you are going to tune the thing right, though. That will kill it faster than anything. Dropping compression will simplify things but gets exponentially more expensive.

Ok, here's my story...
A good friend of mine bought an S back when they first came out. I really thought that car rocked but at the time I couldn't afford one (recovering from my second divorce). Needless to say, I had wanted one for some time but never got real serious about it.
Then one day a few months ago, one of the guys I ride motorcycles with wanted to go look at one after our regular Saturday breakfast. It was kinda funny because one of the other guys (to be named later in the story) was also ogling the S. Looking at this car really got my mind ticking. Me and the other guy kept talking about getting one. His favorite color was the Suzuka Blue; mine was yellow. Oh, did I mention that this "other guy" also happens to be my boss at work.
When I finally decided to pull the trigger I ended up buying a blue one instead of the yellow. The following Monday, I parked in my buddy's spot at work. I had this all planned out with his secretary because people are always parking in his spot. She told him that she found out who the guy was that owned the car and he was on his way out to move it. I ran into him on my way to the parking lot and at first did not believe that it was my car in his spot. When he finally believed me, all he could say was "you bastard".
The rest of the story is history. If you want another perspective perhaps you should ask hrhgoldwing; I am sure he can fill you in.
Love my S2000, it rocks!
