Rickmansworth to Towcester, Breakfast Run - Sunday 1st April

This is a regular driving meet from Rickmansworth to Potterspury, near Towcester, usually on the last Sunday of each month, but will be on the first and last Sundays in April.
The route is a lovely drive on a mixture of A, B and C-roads, I try to make sure that the pace is dependent on the slowest driver, and we do wait to let folk catch up if necessary. We stick to the 30 and 40 limits through the villages. I have SatNav files and Google Maps links if people want to navigate it solo.
To avoid the traffic, we leave early in the morning from Christ Church Chorleywood Car Park.
It's on the A404 about 1/2 mile from junction 18 of the M25. The postcode is WD3 5SG.
At junction 18, take the A404 exit to Chorleywood/Amersham, past the Shell garage on your right, then past The Gate pub, also on your right. The church is opposite the pub and the entrance to the car park is a sharp left at the end of the churchyard wall.

Held at Newby Hall and is one of our larger meets which attracts more than 500 sports cars. There will also be a number of related stalls on the day.
Cars may leave early, so make sure you're there before 2pm at the latest if your wanting to see the cars

Yorkshire Pub Meet (inc Free Drink!) - Thursday 18th May

Not that Yorkshire folk are tight (just a southern rumour) but hope the free drink may tempt you. I put up a thread last year but hoping for more success this year. Apparently 8.3 % of the UK population live in Yorkshire, in 2017 there were 6079 S2k’s registered in the UK (excluding SORN), which means a rough estimate of 504 S2ks on the roadin Yorkshire - so come on get them out !
The geographic centre of Yorkshire is the village of Hessay, East of York so may have been a location given a suitable venue. However only a few miles south and handier for any using the motorway network is The Owl at Hambleton, YO8 9JH. On the A63, Easy to find, good car park, food etc. Close to the A19, the A1(M) and Jct 32A of M62.

What is Tatton Park's Classic & Performance Car Spectacular?
The Classic & Performance Car Spectacular is set in the beautiful grounds of Tatton Park where the show is very popular with both exhibitors and visitors, particularly with the added attraction of the Autojumble, being the biggest and best of its kind in the North of England.
The exhibits area will require many an hour to see, with approx 1500 exhibits from around 90 top car club displays (including ours, of course!), some making Tatton Park event their National Weekend!
The large area of Autojumble/General trade stands keep many people busy for hours, whether searching for rare obsolete vehicle spares, tools or car cleaning products, *or even*, plants, jewelry, toys, models to T-shirts and tents!! (Around 200 stalls in all).
The Classic Car mart is also very popular where private owners advertise and sell their Classic Cars on the day. There are always some really nice cars on offer, but you’ll need to be quick, the best cars usually sell very quickly, at recent shows even the show staff have managed to purchase some excellent classic cars!

Hi, following the recent success of the first Yorkshire meet attracting 13 cars from all over Yorkshire - East, West, North and South I thought it would be appropriate to keep up the momentum and a great idea to pick up on one of the suggestions made during the evening. On researching this I see it is a regular theme with MG groups and Porsche GB club having taken part. So definitely time to add S2KUK to the list !
To add an additional twist this will take place on the longest day with a great evening drive to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastal town of Whitby, taking in the fantastic driving roads of the Yorkshire Moors, wIth a twilight or moonlit return drive. (52mls to Whitby from Shiptonthorpe rendez-vous)

Rickmansworth to Towcester, Breakfast Run - Sunday 29th July

This is a regular driving meet from Rickmansworth to Potterspury, near Towcester, usually on the last Sunday of each month, but will be on the first and last Sundays in April.
The route is a lovely drive on a mixture of A, B and C-roads, I try to make sure that the pace is dependent on the slowest driver, and we do wait to let folk catch up if necessary. We stick to the 30 and 40 limits through the villages. I have SatNav files and Google Maps links if people want to navigate it solo.
To avoid the traffic, we leave early in the morning from Christ Church Chorleywood Car Park.
It's on the A404 about 1/2 mile from junction 18 of the M25. The postcode is WD3 5SG.
At junction 18, take the A404 exit to Chorleywood/Amersham, past the Shell garage on your right, then past The Gate pub, also on your right. The church is opposite the pub and the entrance to the car park is a sharp left at the end of the churchyard wall.
Beaulieu Simply Japanese - Sunday 29th July

All Japanese car and motorcycle owners are invited to drive into Beaulieu and park up within the museum complex for what promises to be a superb day out for both Japanese vehicle owners and enthusiasts.
All models are welcome at the seventh Simply Japanese event, which is set to provide a great opportunity to admire other’s cars and to connect with fellow enthusiasts. Old or new, heavily modified or straight from the showroom floor, you can expect to see Nissans, Hondas and Subarus amongst the many marques on display.
All participants have the opportunity to be chosen as the winner of the People’s Choice Award, selected by public vote. The winner will receive the Beaulieu Simply Japanese trophy.

Standard Entry tickets are £23.50 however we got a discounted car show ticket of £10 per car and driver and £10 per passenger, so 2 people is £20 rather than £47 and all proceeds go to charities as listed on the www.bigginhillcarshow.co.uk website.

Dunsfold Wings & Wheels 2018 - Sat 25th & Sun 26th August (Bank Holiday Weekend)

Dunsfold Wings and Wheels is held at Dunsfold aerodrome in Surrey which is the location for the Top Gear track. This years' event takes place on the August Bank Holiday weekend 25th & 26th August.
We haven't attended this one for a few years, the last time being 2015 when we won the Best Car Cub stand trophy. I'll be organising a club stand on one of the days, preferably on the Saturday, but if you have a preference for a day let me know. There is no reason we can't have the club there for both days. Our S2000s have always created a lot of interest from the crowd and may have even helped get some new owners and club members.

What is the Gold Cup?
The Gold Cup is hosted at Oulton Park and regarded as the North's biggest historic race meeting, much like Silverstone Classic.
Oulton Park's signature event returns in 2017, with three days of historic action on August Bank Holiday Weekend. On-track there will be a bumper line-up organised by the Historic Sport Car Club, whilst off it will be a retro atmosphere as the venue is filled with classic cars and family friendly attractions.
Racing highlights will include the Derek Bell Trophy, which recalls the Gold Cups of the 1970s, in which Formula 5000 and Formula 2 cars regularly competed for the prestigious trophy. Historic Formula 3 and Formula Ford machines will be amongst the other single-seater categories in action.
GTs and tin tops will also compete, from 1970s sports-prototypes in the Martini Trophy, to stunning saloons from the BTCC's '90s heyday, with the popular Super Touring Trophy expected to return.
On top of that, there will also be Air Displays, Classic & Performance Car Displays and much more. All in all, a great family day out!

JAE is the ultimate social weekend for Japanese car owners, Japanese car clubs, tuners and traders.
JAE takes place every year in early September and attracts over 3,000 Japanese cars to the show. The four day weekend event is a family affair encouraging car clubs to mix and compete in a range of events and competitions. For the casual visitor it is the largest gathering of purely Japanese cars in Europe and a chance to see some amazing cars.
JAE is about more than just cars though, it's a great opportunity to socialise with like-minded people and have a ton of fun.

Rickmansworth to Towcester, Breakfast Run - Sunday 1st April

This is a regular driving meet from Rickmansworth to Potterspury, near Towcester, usually on the last Sunday of each month, but will be on the first and last Sundays in April.
The route is a lovely drive on a mixture of A, B and C-roads, I try to make sure that the pace is dependent on the slowest driver, and we do wait to let folk catch up if necessary. We stick to the 30 and 40 limits through the villages. I have SatNav files and Google Maps links if people want to navigate it solo.
To avoid the traffic, we leave early in the morning from Christ Church Chorleywood Car Park.
It's on the A404 about 1/2 mile from junction 18 of the M25. The postcode is WD3 5SG.
At junction 18, take the A404 exit to Chorleywood/Amersham, past the Shell garage on your right, then past The Gate pub, also on your right. The church is opposite the pub and the entrance to the car park is a sharp left at the end of the churchyard wall.

Not that Yorkshire folk are tight (just a southern rumour) but hope the free drink may tempt you. I put up a thread last year but hoping for more success this year. Apparently 8.3 % of the UK population live in Yorkshire, in 2017 there were 6079 S2k’s registered in the UK (excluding SORN), which means a rough estimate of 504 S2ks on the roadin Yorkshire - so come on get them out !
The geographic centre of Yorkshire is the village of Hessay, East of York so may have been a location given a suitable venue. However only a few miles south and handier for any using the motorway network is The Owl at Hambleton, YO8 9JH. On the A63, Easy to find, good car park, food etc. Close to the A19, the A1(M) and Jct 32A of M62.

What is Tatton Park's Classic & Performance Car Spectacular?
The Classic & Performance Car Spectacular is set in the beautiful grounds of Tatton Park where the show is very popular with both exhibitors and visitors, particularly with the added attraction of the Autojumble, being the biggest and best of its kind in the North of England.
The exhibits area will require many an hour to see, with approx 1500 exhibits from around 90 top car club displays (including ours, of course!), some making Tatton Park event their National Weekend!
The large area of Autojumble/General trade stands keep many people busy for hours, whether searching for rare obsolete vehicle spares, tools or car cleaning products, *or even*, plants, jewelry, toys, models to T-shirts and tents!! (Around 200 stalls in all).
The Classic Car mart is also very popular where private owners advertise and sell their Classic Cars on the day. There are always some really nice cars on offer, but you’ll need to be quick, the best cars usually sell very quickly, at recent shows even the show staff have managed to purchase some excellent classic cars!

Hi, following the recent success of the first Yorkshire meet attracting 13 cars from all over Yorkshire - East, West, North and South I thought it would be appropriate to keep up the momentum and a great idea to pick up on one of the suggestions made during the evening. On researching this I see it is a regular theme with MG groups and Porsche GB club having taken part. So definitely time to add S2KUK to the list !
To add an additional twist this will take place on the longest day with a great evening drive to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastal town of Whitby, taking in the fantastic driving roads of the Yorkshire Moors, wIth a twilight or moonlit return drive. (52mls to Whitby from Shiptonthorpe rendez-vous)

All Japanese car and motorcycle owners are invited to drive into Beaulieu and park up within the museum complex for what promises to be a superb day out for both Japanese vehicle owners and enthusiasts.
All models are welcome at the seventh Simply Japanese event, which is set to provide a great opportunity to admire other’s cars and to connect with fellow enthusiasts. Old or new, heavily modified or straight from the showroom floor, you can expect to see Nissans, Hondas and Subarus amongst the many marques on display.
All participants have the opportunity to be chosen as the winner of the People’s Choice Award, selected by public vote. The winner will receive the Beaulieu Simply Japanese trophy.

Let’s make this a big one by coming along and showing off your pride and joy be it standard, modified, stanced, hellaflushed, show ready, rusty or work in progress, the lot - EVERYONE is welcome.
This is the perfect chance for all S2000 owners and friends to come together, convoy to the cafe then park up and enjoy each others company and have some fun.
There will be food, drink and good company. The weather should be glorious and the convoys will be fun. We will be giving out trophies for various categories which will be judged on the night!

With a huge help from S2K UK managed to have a stand at this show. Standard Entry tickets are £23.50 however we got a discounted car show ticket of £10 per car and driver and £10 per passenger, so 2 people is £20 rather than £47 and all proceeds go to charities as listed on the www.bigginhillcarshow.co.uk website.
At the checkout add the discount code of S2kuk18 and get the discounted price. You will then automatically be added to our club stand.
This is two days event which will be hosted on 18th(Saturday) and 19th(Sunday) of August. Sadly camping isn't an option.

Dunsfold Wings & Wheels 2018 - Sat 25th & Sun 26th August (Bank Holiday Weekend)

Dunsfold Wings and Wheels is held at Dunsfold aerodrome in Surrey which is the location for the Top Gear track. This years' event takes place on the August Bank Holiday weekend 25th & 26th August.
We haven't attended this one for a few years, the last time being 2015 when we won the Best Car Cub stand trophy. I'll be organising a club stand on one of the days, preferably on the Saturday, but if you have a preference for a day let me know. There is no reason we can't have the club there for both days. Our S2000s have always created a lot of interest from the crowd and may have even helped get some new owners and club members.
I have registered the club for both days and we can confirm nearer the time.

What is the Gold Cup?
The Gold Cup is hosted at Oulton Park and regarded as the North's biggest historic race meeting, much like Silverstone Classic.
Oulton Park's signature event returns in 2017, with three days of historic action on August Bank Holiday Weekend. On-track there will be a bumper line-up organised by the Historic Sport Car Club, whilst off it will be a retro atmosphere as the venue is filled with classic cars and family friendly attractions.
Racing highlights will include the Derek Bell Trophy, which recalls the Gold Cups of the 1970s, in which Formula 5000 and Formula 2 cars regularly competed for the prestigious trophy. Historic Formula 3 and Formula Ford machines will be amongst the other single-seater categories in action.
GTs and tin tops will also compete, from 1970s sports-prototypes in the Martini Trophy, to stunning saloons from the BTCC's '90s heyday, with the popular Super Touring Trophy expected to return.
On top of that, there will also be Air Displays, Classic & Performance Car Displays and much more. All in all, a great family day out!

JAE is the ultimate social weekend for Japanese car owners, Japanese car clubs, tuners and traders.
JAE takes place every year in early September and attracts over 3,000 Japanese cars to the show. The four day weekend event is a family affair encouraging car clubs to mix and compete in a range of events and competitions. For the casual visitor it is the largest gathering of purely Japanese cars in Europe and a chance to see some amazing cars.
JAE is about more than just cars though, it's a great opportunity to socialise with like-minded people and have a ton of fun.

No run in August so as to avoid thousands of sweaty MotoGP fans.
This is a regular driving meet from Rickmansworth to Potterspury, near Towcester, usually on the last Sunday of each month, but will be on the first and last Sundays in April.
The route is a lovely drive on a mixture of A, B and C-roads, I try to make sure that the pace is dependent on the slowest driver, and we do wait to let folk catch up if necessary. We stick to the 30 and 40 limits through the villages. I have SatNav files and Google Maps links if people want to navigate it solo.
To avoid the traffic, we leave early in the morning from Christ Church Chorleywood Car Park.
It's on the A404 about 1/2 mile from junction 18 of the M25. The postcode is WD3 5SG.
At junction 18, take the A404 exit to Chorleywood/Amersham, past the Shell garage on your right, then past The Gate pub, also on your right. The church is opposite the pub and the entrance to the car park is a sharp left at the end of the churchyard wall
