Default 18s on the S

I have an 06 S2k.........how will adding 18x8 on the back and 18x7 on the front affect the handling/ride of the car?

Rule of thumb ....

17" for go, 18" for show.

(A lot will depend on the weight of the wheels)

Personal experience, bone jarring ride on 35 and 40 series tyres - very stable on the dry smooth tarmac of Donington but 'kin useless anywhere else.

Went back to 17's which felt just right.......

TBH couldnt feel the slightest bit of difference between 17 or 18's road and track.

If you're thinking of Evo5's then prepare to imagine yourself driving this baby:

After four S's and seven different wheel set ups including three 18" sets.

BTW When I had EVO's on my first S the top speeds where higher in each gear because the rolling diameter was slightly larger. Down side the acceleration was slightly lower.

Currently I'm going with slightly wider 17" Volks, I have a set of 18" I might keep for track days.
