3rd to 2nd when looking for 4th
Didnt the person on hear recently having problems with an S2000 he just bought have the dealer show him a log file showing an over rev though? Is this something only dealers can do?
Sure it won't tell you if anything is damaged but it can tell you what the revs actually went to?

Thanks for the feedback chaps. My mind is pretty much at rest now, just in time for the weekend.
I was surprised to miss that shift last night, seeing that I've been running with an ETD fitted for a few weeks now and I was expecting it to make the whole gear change smoother. Anyway, time will tell if I've buggered it up...

Usually, the synchros will make the selection of 2nd very difficult, but with the S2000 box being as slick as it is, combined with all the tweaks you have, it made it easy to do.
I genuniely think you'll be fine Dan.

Cheers for your help - I value your input.
I did exactly this on mine not long after buying it 5.5 years ago and as per you did reacted quickly and got the clutch pedal pressed down immediately - to date I have had no issues
