My new Alpine 7878 is a veritable disco lighting setup, green, yellow, blue, white..... I'm at a loss to think of anything to match that!

I'll stick with my vote for amber as this matches with nearly everything else on the dash and the centre console (and keep the stereo door closed! - thankyou Alpine for the KCE-865 )
