Default Aaargh!

Fitted a new headunit yesterday, all went well. Today i'm installing new componant speakers to the doors, spent some time making mdf spacers first then came time to remove the door panels - the screw under the door handle is seized and now is rounded off, i'm gonna have to drill it out

Oh well onwards and upwards, joys of a 10 year old car I guess!

Isn't it into a nylon grommet, though? Most are.

It in to one of those thin metal flange things that lacerate your fingers.

Yep it is. Might be able to get a trim tool in behind the door card and gently work it out.

No, definitely into metal. Managed to drill teh head off without melting any surrounding plastic, no chance of getting the remains out though, mole grips wouldn't shift it at all! Guess I'll use double sided tape or similar to hold the trim back in place. Will see how that goes anyway.

I'd bet you can replace the thing it bolts into - if that's the only way to fix it.
