Acceleration problem

Remember that the water temperature heats up quickly as the thermostat won't be open. This will give you your three bars on the dash but the oil won't be warmed up yet.

Water does nothing to protect your engine. The oil does all the work

Give it about 5 mins after three bars.

not having any mechanical sympathy is regrettable but not that surprising ime

encountering a rev limiter to protect you from your own stupidity is more likely to be a surprise
