Default Aftermarket parts, Preferred company?

Hi all

I am currently looking into the possibility of modifying an s2000 and thought I'd ask a few questions on the forum to get some expert advice from you all.

Anyway I have been looking into engine tuning today so everything from 2.2 stroker kits to exhausts and manifolds and from much searching have come across 3 main companies that seem to offer high quality aftermarket engine parts and upgrades:

Spoon
J's Racing
TODA

My question really is, is it better and safer to stick to one manufacturer for all engine options so all j's racing (ecu, stroker kit, exhaust etc) or would a combination of parts from all 3 manufacturers offer a better all round setup?

Also do certain manufacturers do some thing better than others i.e Spoon do great exhausts but rubbish manifold etc and does one manufacturer make the same part but more durable, extra bhp gains etc.

At the moment I am looking at going 100% J's racing but any help and suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Trev

Don't buy Spoon CF parts, they are really naff and you pay a fortune for them too. Most other stuff from them is pretty good though.

Toda and J's Racing is the way to go IMO.

I agree to an extent, its a minefield fella and each part has a better manufacturer, you really need to do your homework on each part, to get value and performance

You might as well ship your car over the Atlantic, fit a turbo the size of Texas and have a custom tuning job done to make decent power.

Have absolutely no idea who'd be crazy enough to do it though

As Riz says, it is a minefield

If you think that spending
