Default Alarm and Indicator Lights

Locking up this morning in the usual way and noticed that although the car was locking, the indicator lights weren't blinking, any reason or solution for this?

Standard alarm, MY00

I could hear the usual clicks etc, just no lights, which although I've never thought about it before, are reassuring especially when you lock or unlock from a distance.

Thanks

sure it locked? It would have tried to lock when it made the locking sound but it only flashes if it locks correctly. Thre's maybe a belt stuck in the passenger door or something covering the lock in the boot? Check round all the locks and make sure.

Thanks for your reply,

double checked last night and the car is definitely locking and immobilising, just no reassuring "blinks"

It's due for a service soon so I'll get them to check it.

Near Troon. Been there for 1 year now, v. nice place (especially compared to Stockport where I was before!), but anywhere by the sea is great in my opinion, Good driving roads for the S too, fantastic views of Arran etc. at least that is when it's visible through the cloud/fog/mist/drizzle.

Maybe a daft question but are the indicators working when you put the hazard lights on? Could be a fuse has blown?

Also when I have installed aftermarket alarms in the past - they ocassionally have an inline fuse in the wire which splices into the indicator circuit...

Hope that helps

Mine has done this a couple of times before, I think its sometimes just temperemental, I dont drive the car much and its garaged so the first time it didnt happen I just left it in the garage overnight and tried it the next day and all was well again.
