Alarm issues
Hey guys,
when I lock my car the alarm just keeps howling none stop. So I have to leave it unlocked.
Just had to leave it at the train station with the alarm most prob going off all day.
Is the a fuse I can pull to turn the alarm off?
Thanks

Don't think there's a fuse you can pull, else a thief would just do that when nicking cars! I think they're designed not to be tampered with.
Does locking it with the key (not the fob) work? To stop the alarm re-engaging, you may need to open, put key in ignition (may need to start up) then turn off and lock with key.
I'm assuming it is the H&P unit? Give them a call to help diagnose 01732 760022 You may need a new board, I've just needed to replace mine and all hunky dory now.

mine did the same but now I lock it buy pushing the button waiting for the four flashes then pushing the lock button again now three flashes i think this dissables the sensors inside the car
Could be lots of stuff.. I had issues with the one on my TVR recently and just got a new one installed.. can be anything from siren battery being low, car battery being low (easy to check), or faulty sensors (door, bonnet, boot or ultrasonics if installed)! Hence why I just got it swapped out for a decent cat 1 pager alarm! The other problem bring the door locking system runs off the alarm, so theres no way to manually lock the door (theres no key) without arming the alarm! So I literally left the car unlocked for a week! But on the S2000, as mentioned above, you should be able to lock the doors with the key and bypass arming the alarm?
You could check the car battery has enough juice? or if you have ultrasonics theres usually a way to bypass them by pressing the fob twice when locking the car.. if the alarm still goes off it could be a duff pin switch for the doors/bonnet etc, might be able to clean them up or soak them in WD40? if its the siren alarm I think the only option then is a swapout/removal

I had to resolder together the bonnet microswitch on the 'Lude; it had corroded & fallen apart.
It's usually something. like that.
But new fob batteries & a fully charged car one too help. Alarms can do weird shit if the batteries get low.

Do it NOI!!! as the Rev Ian Paisley would have said.
If you cannot mobilise the immobiliser part, you'll be in the shit...
Once had to sit in the 'Lude furiously wanking the key fob, before it was warm enough to do it. Must've loooked a bit odd.
