Got it back this morning , nearly cried when i saw the state of it , interior covered in greasy finger marks , seat , dash and door inner. The carpet repair is even worse than my dog could have done ,

and it had had the magic swirl cloth thrown at it , always good for a black car

I just got in the car and drove away , i didnt want to burst into tears in front of them

Emailed the manager with a piccie of said repair , and asked for his opinion . When my wife saw the mail i sent she thought i was being much too soft , so imediately phoned the manager and poured her heart out. He admitted to not knowing what to say to her. Going to investigate and come back.

There is obviously a huge gap in our expectations of how a BRAND NEW car should be presented .
I feel like asking him to buy it back from me now.
This car has made me unhappy every day since it was delivered to our house on 27/12/03.

and Guy , if you are reading this , i am very serious mate.

Sorry to hear you are having such a rotten time.

This is the period when you should be enjoying the car.

Within two days of buying mine I discovered a bonnet that wouldn't latch and rusty swarf from the alarm fitting.

The initial reaction of the dealer was surprise that I was hopping mad. Their opinion seemed to be 'we are going to fix it, these things happen, what's the problem?'

They seemed unable to empathise with how it feels to spend

Thanks gaddafi,

the only solution i can see to rectify the carpet cock up is actually to fit a new one , not sure how they will respond to that
