SteveM,

What address are you sending this "complaint" letter to. I've also got one penned ready to go (attempting to pluck at what heart strings they have) :

Hi,

I think I would be more tempted to call Honda UK and ask for customer relations..at least that way you get to speak to someone and get a direct dial number of the person you speak to. I find that letters to these people are a lot easier for them to ignore.....

Hi All

I think you will find that if you write to Honda UK, they will always reply.

I simpasphise with you guys i really do.
I have an 02 with the new alloys and the manufacturing quality is still P*** poor and i hope Honda UK read this thread.

On several of my alloys the finish was pited and rough, before even putting miles on the car. I wish i had taken pics to prove the point. May be this should be put on the PDI

Wheel Corrosion and finish defects.

I have a Sept 02, and I agree the quality is not that good. Compared to the 00/01 they are better.

I have been thinking about sending a letter to Honda expressing my concerns about the 02 wheels, and the fact that I think they will start to corrode.

RE: My Letter To Honda

The service manager at my local Honda dealer called me up at the request of Honda UK to ask me to bring my car in so that the wheels can be photographed and a warranty claim put in for replacements.

The wheels are to be replaced with different 'counter measure' wheels (the service manager was not yet exactly sure what type they would be but thought it likely that they would be 02 wheels).

I was also told that I would be given an extended warranty on these new wheels

I asked if the rumors about a recall were true and he said that this was unlikely as recalls are mostly on safety issues. I was also told that this was still not yet the 'official' Honda response.

Thank you Honda
