Had a chat with the service manager at my local dealers tonight.

He tells me that the extended warranty on the new wheels applies to UK cars only

Who do I have to write to now

hmmmm dont see how the extended warranty con only apply to UK cars...

afterall it's the wheels that are replaced, not the car. and the wheels have come from the UK.

you might try phoning honda Uk..

Guy's,

Some feedback on the wheels.

Car delivered back from dealers this evening with a Full set of "Modified Wheels". They're definitely the original '00 models (but have a different Honda part number I was told by the foreman)...... but with visibly more/thicker lacquer layer including the rear faces of the wheel.

HOWEVER still not heard from Honda UK on extended warranty position so called today and hopefully getting a call back tomorrow with clarification.

I didn't think we'd be getting 02' wheels for a second.... but as long as the 'modified' versions come with a 3 year guarantee... I'll be satisfied.

Cheers for now.

Thanks for the post Stiv - things sound promising (an extended warranty would be even better!). My car is in on Monday for a new set of wheels - cant wait to have wheels which come clean when washed!

Dear All

I have been reading a lot of the hype you have all been discussing around alloy wheels. I bought my S2k in November 2002, just when it was out of its 3 year warranty. Its only done 13k in mileage and therefore in mint condition - apart from those bloody wheels which are all coroding. What's the favourite option then ? (I have a 1 year warranty but assuming wheels will not be covered in a standard main dealer extension warranty !!!)

Get the wheels refurbished or
Buy a set of 2002 wheels (where's the best place to go for these ?)
or
Buy and non Honda set of wheels (any views on best looking wheels for S2k?)

Thanks in advance
Steve

Go for the full 18 inches.
You know it makes sense.

Only pic I've got to hand.

Mine on the Left. XBy2K on the right.

Thanks for the tip off - the non standard wheels don't look too bad I must admit !!

Cheers Fletch.
