Alloy Wheels.......Again!!!!!!
Just an add-on question really. when I mentioned putting on a set of TVR 18" wheels, someone said it may cause problems with 'stuff' (forgive the non-technical terms), what should a person look out for when buying 18" wheels?
I think it was the offset which someone said would be the problem. As I understand, this is the amount by which the wheel sticks out - too much and it will stick out further than the wheelarch, which I gather is a
The offset depends on the particular type of wheel in question. Your best bet is either to find a type of 18"-er that someone has already fitted and can vouch for the fact that it works and give you the measurements, or head over to the Tyre Forum. Jim from Tirerack over there is supposedly very helpful.

Thanks, its just I had a set of chrome alloys on a previous silver car, and I think they will look great on this now one. Once I am known a bit better I may try to sort out a GB on them, as I get rather good discound through a friend in the trade.
Depending on what sort you were contemplating, there may be some interest in that.

If I remember, I will try to get a list of manufacturers he imports, and hopefully that will increase peoples choice. I cant see it really mattering how many people are in the GB, as he probably wont give much more discount that he already does, I got my last ones for a little bit cheaper than he supplies the shops, and he is the sole UK importer of a few well known makes. Ill see what I can find out. He has a website somewhere, but I cant remember the addy.
Dunno if it's any help but
