Hi all was just going to order a new stereo Alpine CDA-9855R for

 

I had a 9855r and really couldn't get to grips with the glide bar, sold it recently at a mega loss and am now looking at the new range, It may be there highest model in the glidebar range but, its definitely not the best IMO, Think it was a bit rushed and not thought through, my manual came with an additional page stating certain functions would not operate as stated in manual, these were to do with the glidebar/mp3 usage and totally made it pointless for my ipod etc, Good looking unit, but, a bit of a rotten egg for alpines usual high standards

Sorry, but my advice is to avoid it, and look at the newer range, they are supposed to be dropping the glidebar range shortly

 

thanks m8, the 55 is discontinued maybe thats why. will look for something else
