Anyone found a headunit that'll take 2Gb SD cards?
JVC sales have advised me that their units only accept SD cards up to 1Gb in capacity. Has anyone had successfully tried a 2Gb SD card in a headunit that'll hook up to the S2K's in-dash controls?

My Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB54 takes 1GB SD cards without any problem, despite the manual only referring to 256Mb cards (which were all that were available when it was published).
Don't own any 2GB cards so never tried them, but on the basis it takes 1GB jobs, I would think you'd be okay.
Good head unit, plus you get DAB too ...
(See the link in my sig for dash interfaces for a variety of head units)

The FAT format should support 2Gb.
Check the format of your card ...

I don't think the limit is down to FAT16, older windows OSes was about 2gb, NT was about 4GB, not that its got an os in it. I think it has something to do with addressing or the registers of the headunit.

Maybe the simplest thing would be to find a dealer that has one on demo and stick the SD card in the slot to see what happens. Does anyone know a dealer not too far from Richmond (or Fleet, Hampshire) who has extensive demo facilities??
